Every new wave of technology changes what it means to be human. The last few have divided us, isolated us, and made our lives more miserable.

AI might be the most dangerous technology for what we value as humans: love, curiosity, relationships, creativity. It might also be a way to free us from our chains and allow more of us to focus on things that aren’t meant to be “productive”: art, experiences, ideas, community.

However we might feel about it, there’s no fighting it. It’s here to stay. So it is our responsibility to build things with it that make us more human, not less.

That’s why we need Temple, a temple for our humanity.
